Sigurd

Sigurd wines first started in 2012 with a small portion of Grenache sourced out of McLaren Vale as abit of fun and experimentation.

Since then I have based myself in the Barossa Valley and creating a few different wines to try to keep myself just that little bit busier from my day job....

Take a wander and enjoy the unknown as we are on this journey together

Cheers

Dan

Grenache (67%), Pinot Gris (33%). Grenache is sourced from McLaren Vale, hand picked off 47 year old bush vines, destemmed and left on skins for 12 hours then pressed to old French oak puncheons (500L) to ferment out to dryness. The Pinot Gris was hand-picked out of the Adelaide hills, it was destemmed and the grapes were put inside an old French oak Hogshead (300L) to ferment on skins, it was pressed off after 5 months and blended with the Grenache. A small amount of sulfur was added before bottling.
