Sigurd wines first started in 2012 with a small portion of Grenache sourced out of McLaren Vale as abit of fun and experimentation.

Since then I have based myself in the Barossa Valley and creating a few different wines to try to keep myself just that little bit busier from my day job....

2017 Sigurd Malbec/Syrah


An old label makes a renaissance. This Malbec/Syrah blend with 55% of the Malbec from the Ebenezer subregion of the Barossa and the Syrah from the small block in Williamstown. Fermented separately with 10% whole bunch fermentation, pressed to old French 300L oak barrels for about 14 months then bottled. A small amount of Sulfur just before bottling
