2024 Sigurd 'Midnight Sun'

Our 2024 'Midnight Sun' shows nectarine, lime brûlée and a fine line of white pepper. There’s a salty edge running through it - limestone, salty ocean breeze. On the palate, it carries that same line, with some texture from a short bit of skin contact and a mineral finish that holds. It’s got shape, but still feels easy.
'Midnight Sun' is a nod to the Nordic summers behind Sigurd - days that don’t really end, just easing from afternoon into night. You know.. one drink turns into a few, and no one’s watching the time.
Varieties: Semillon, Vermentino
Alcohol: 12.0%
The 2024 Sigurd White starts with an early February Vermentino pick, with a portion left on skins for 4 days before pressing into French oak puncheons (500L). The Semillon is fermented across stainless steel and large oak. It sits separately for around 7 months before coming together in spring, then another 6 months in tank. Bottled with minimal sulphur. Skål!
