Magnum - Rose 2023 by Sigurd
This project began as our little tribute to sharing wine with people we love. We believe bigger is better when it comes to bringing people together, and these magnums are perfect for that. The wines feature some unusual grape varieties for Barossa - Trebbiano and Carignan - creating easy-drinking, fun wines that celebrate community and companionship. The beautiful artwork was created in collaboration with our dear friend Madi Gillies, who designed each illustrated character's body language to subtly reflect the characteristics of the wines inside. It's been such a joy working with her on this project. While we're saying goodbye to Lila, we're excited for what's coming next!
Trebbiano: she’s assertive and confident, with just the right amount of sass - she’s the life of the party!
Rose: she’s playfully shy and a little bit cheeky. She’s captivating and compassionate - loved by all!
Carignan: the fraternal twin of Rose (both from the same grape variety) Carignan is fun, laid-back and light-hearted - loves a compliment almost as much as he loves his natty wines!
A wine that features whole bunch pressed Carignan - picked early - this is solely tank fermented and left in peace through malolactic fermentation. A small hit of sulfur (30ppm) is added before the wine is left to settle for a month or so until its introduced to the magnum and it’s journey to your table.
